Imagine having a faster, smoother recovery after your implant surgery. With Yomi® at Smile Makers Dental Care, that’s exactly what you can experience.

Robot-assisted guidance helps your doctor place your implants with incredible accuracy, giving you smaller incisions, less discomfort, and a quicker return to your normal life.

Yomi® allows us to place your implants with precise depth, angle, and position, so you get more predictable, safer, and gentler results than traditional freehand surgery.

We are the FIRST in East Bay to offer minimally invasive surgery utilizing robotic technology in implant surgeries.

Dynamic 3D Navigation for Implant Precision

At Smile Makers Dental Care, we bring digital planning to life in real time, so you get safer, more precise implant placement.

Thanks to Dynamic 3D Navigation technology, we can control the exact position, angle, and depth of your implant with pinpoint accuracy. This system has been shown to be significantly more accurate than traditional freehand surgery, giving you a higher level of safety and predictability.

This level of precision means fewer incisions, less discomfort, and a faster healing experience, helping you get back to normal life sooner.

It’s an advanced approach that allows us to deliver safe, predictable, natural-looking results, all in a single visit.

Dynamic Navigation 11X more accurate than freehand implant surgery.

A Perfect Smile With 3D Digital Imaging

By using the latest 3D digital imaging technology and a fully digital workflow, we can plan and place your implants with far greater precision, so you get safer, more predictable results.

This advanced scanner captures detailed images of your teeth, gums, bone, and facial structure. With this information, we’re able to design a treatment plan that fits you perfectly and ensures your implants are positioned exactly where they need to be.

This way, your smile will be exactly how it was meant to look.

Many dentists only use a CBCT scanner, but not many use this new technology.

How A Missing Tooth Can Affect Your Jaw Shape

If there isn't enough bone left, you will not be eligible for dental implants.

Patients with a failing or missing tooth have put off coming in... Only to later find out they were no longer eligible for dental implants because they had lost too much bone.

They told us... I would've paid any amount of money to go back in time and find out sooner!

Transforming Implant Dentistry with BLAST

Unlock Gentler Implant Placement with BLAST.

At Smile Makers Dental Care, we’re committed to top-quality dental care using advanced technology focused on your comfort.

That includes laser dentistry and the BLAST Protocol (Biostimulation-Lase-Activation-Stimulation-Technique) a powerful combination for faster healing, better results, and less discomfort.

We use laser technology during implant placement surgery to enhance precision, reduce bleeding, and promote faster healing.

Because lasers target tissue more precisely, they improve surgical outcomes and patient comfort, making the procedure more efficient and less invasive.

Even if you’ve been told you’re not a candidate due to gum disease or bone loss, BLAST may offer a solution.

  • Removes bacteria and infected tissue

  • Speeds up healing by activating bone and gums

  • Boosts stability and appearance with precise placement

  • Minimizes complications through soft tissue control

  • Maximizes long-term success with smart timing

Whether you need one implant or several, BLAST helps us create durable, beautiful smiles with greater comfort and confidence.

Ready For Dental Implants?

Hear from some of our happy patients!

If you are looking for a qualified surgeon then look no further. Dr. Manny Ashraf and his staff are the most dedicated group of people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I had reconstructive work done on my upper teeth. Dr. Ashraf gave me that beautiful smile I once had. I am smiling and loving life thanks to him. I am so very pleased to have met such a fine group of professionals.

Christina M.

I want to let people who are very nervous about going to the dentist that you will do no wrong by going to Dr. Ashraf. He is the best dentist my husband and I have ever gone to. To further prove that he is great, we travel more than an hour to get the best dental care we can possibly get with relaxed feelings in the chair!

Rosemary M.

This is by far the best dental practice I've ever found. They are completely professional. The receptionists are knowledgeable of how insurance works and explain everything to you. Dr Ashraf helps you to prioritize the work that needs to be done. There is no pressure here. Every procedure is explained and they use state of the art equipment. The hygienists are awesome as well. I highly recommend this practice

Gina K.

Dr. Ashraf is always a pleasure to see, I trust his work as does my family. He is very careful and we have never had any complaints... only bright smiles. My only dismay is that as a New York City Public School Teacher, he does not accept my insurance and so going to see him cost me a lot. If that changed, I would gladly give 5 stars.

What are my options for replacing a missing or failing tooth?

Dr. Gavin Ewing utilizes the latest dental implant procedures and technology.

Single Dental Implant: the gold standard for replacing one missing or failing tooth. A single implant looks, feels, and functions just like a natural tooth.

  • Matched to your surrounding teeth

  • Looks and feels most like a natural tooth

  • Preserves jawbone and prevents bone loss

  • Starting at $49/mo

Implant-Supported Bridge: ideal when you're missing two or more adjacent teeth. Two implants support a bridge that fills the gap naturally.

  • More cost-effective than multiple single implants

  • Permanent, secure, and natural-looking

  • Protects surrounding teeth and bone

  • Starting at $122/mo

How Does a Dental Implant Work?

A dental implant is a three-part solution that replaces your missing or failing tooth from the root up, giving you a result that looks, feels, and functions just like the real thing.

  • The Implant Post A small titanium post is placed where your tooth root used to be. Over time, it fuses with your jawbone, creating a stable, permanent foundation.

  • The Abutment A small connector that links the implant post to your new tooth, ensuring a secure and natural fit.

  • The Crown Your custom-made tooth, matched to the color and shape of your natural smile. This is the part everyone sees.

Dr. Ewing has undergone many years of additional training in restoration and replacement of teeth and learning how to perform dental implant surgery on patients with various oral health conditions.

By partnering with Dr. Gavin Ewing to replace missing teeth or improve the aesthetics or function of your smile, you are putting your trust in an expert.

Thank you so much! You’re a true Smile Maker!"

Need a whole new row of teeth?

If you're missing most or all of your teeth, a single implant may not be the right solution for you, but we've got you covered.

Common Questions

How much do dental implants cost?

Every procedure is different because every person is different. In order to get an accurate estimate of the costs associated with a dental implant procedure, we need to see your scans and go over your specific needs.

Single Dental Implants and Implant Bridges are a premium solution to tooth loss and therefore are more of an investment than temporary solutions such as dentures, however, with maximizing insurance coverage, and payment plan options available, we work to make it an affordable option for almost anyone.

Do you take insurance towards dental implant procedures?

The amount your insurance will cover is based on your provider and your unique situation. Of course, we will know that once you complete the necessary exams and review everything at your consultation.

Will the dental implant procedure be painful?

You will be fully sedated during your procedure, so there will be no pain. You won't feel a thing! After the surgery, you will have mild discomfort that can be managed with over-the-counter pain medication.
